Barking Adult College

The Adult College of Barking is a 4-storey building with a large array of different shoot spaces.

Previously used as council offices, this building was refurbished in 2013 to be utilised as a modern college for adults. The ground floor has a reception, a large open students service area with IT desks and seating pods, as well as a cafe with seating space. Floors 1 and 2 are the teaching floors and comprise of classroom space of various different sized rooms as well as a long corridor- some classrooms are set up with computer desks, where as the others have movable furniture.

The college is located in Barking Town Centre which is easily accessible from the A13 and the A406 (North Circular Road). It has good transport links with tube (Zone 4), over ground and C2C from Barking station which is a 5 minute walk from the college.

Parking availability

The college does not have any on-site parking and there are restrictions in the surrounding side roads. Public parking is available at the London Road car park which is a 5 minute walk away. However, it may be possible to make arrangements to use the large adjoining car park which belongs to the Community Volunteer Service.
